Cape Town – A female python measuring 1.1 metres was reportedly found dead at the Durban Harbour on Wednesday after it was spotted for almost six months.
According to IOL, a fisherman who saw the snake, took a video and posted it on Facebook.
Upon seeing the video, Durban snake catcher Jason Arnold reached out to the fisherman requesting him to show him where exactly he saw the snake.

They arranged a meeting for Wednesday at 17:00.
Upon his arrival of the day, Arnold was shown where the snake was seen. He began his search, finding it an hour later, dead at the water edge.
“It was already starting to smell, so it’s likely it died on Tuesday night sometime. So it’s unknown exactly how it came to be at the harbour. Maybe an escaped/released pet, or perhaps a stowaway on a vessel or a truck,” the report quoted Arnold as saying.
