Cape Town – Police in Hendrina, Mpumalanga, are investigating a brutal farm attack that resulted in the murder of a man and multiple crimes, including robbery, kidnapping, and rape, on the night of Thursday, November 28, 2024.
The horrific incident came to light when a concerned neighbour, prompted by the victim’s employer, discovered a gruesome scene after the victim failed to report to work.
Police spokesperson Brigadier Donald Mdhluli confirmed that officers found the male victim’s lifeless body under a canopy on the property. An older man was also located inside a vehicle at the scene, though further details about his condition were not provided.
“The neighbour went to check on the victim and discovered a disturbing scene. The police were immediately notified, and upon their arrival, they found the male victim under a canopy with no sign of life. An older man was also found inside a vehicle on the property.

“Investigations into the circumstances surrounding this incident are ongoing.
“It has been confirmed that a robbery was committed, during which the suspects stole various items including mobile phones before fleeing the scene. The victim’s wife was later found to have been kidnapped and dropped off at Embalenhle. Four mobile phones were recovered, and these items are believed to have been stolen during the robbery.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing, and the suspects remain at large.
“Police urge anyone with information that may assist in apprehending the suspects to call the Crime Stop number at 08600 10111 or send information via MySAPS App. All information received will be treated as confidential, and callers may choose to remain anonymous,” Mdhluli said.
