Cape Town – The family of slain drug dealer Robert Varrie, 49, is alleging that Moja Love television presenter and drug buster Xolani Khumalo, who is now a murder accused, should face more than just a single criminal charge.
According to News24, the family, represented by a private investigator referred to as AB, claims that the police are hesitant to charge Khumalo with additional offences and suggest that Khumalo is being protected by the police.
AB argues that there were others with Khumalo at the time of Varrie’s killing and questions why they haven’t been arrested.
He believes that Khumalo and his associates should also face charges of malicious damage to property and theft for items belonging to Varrie and his partner, Eunice Raadt.
“Khumalo doesn’t work alone. When Varrie was killed, there were other people who were with Khumalo at the deceased’s home.

“Sizokuthola” features Khumalo and his crew confronting suspected drug dealers in an effort to combat substance abuse in various communities.
The Xolani Khumalo Foundation, in a social media statement, asserted that Khumalo and his team operated professionally during these operations and relied on law enforcement to act fairly. They expressed full confidence in Khumalo’s innocence.
