Cape Town – The EFF donated R100 000 to the Elkana Child Care Centre in Malmesbury, in the Western Cape, on Friday, as the party celebrated its 10th anniversary.
Speaking at the child care centre, Malema said the party had firmly established itself in the past decade, adding that they will visit other provinces as a buildup to a rally in July, reported SABC News.
Malema spoke of the importance of protecting the country’s children.
“We’re not here to do anything, except to celebrate with our children. We enjoy spending time with the dejected members of society. Our sense of being here is to give our people hope,” Malema was quoted saying in the report.

According to EWN, Malema also said protecting the innocence of the country’s children should be everyone’s priority.
“We want the safest place, and we want this place to be one of the safest places so we can teach the world out there that we still have people with good hearts who will never take advantage of children, who know that the children are the future of this country. If you corrupt them at an early age, you’ll have a corrupt society,” the report quoted Malema as saying.
Malema said the donation was to ensure that the children’s dreams were realised, adding that he was confident that the institution will produce doctors, prosecutors and best members of society who will fight drug abuse, unemployment, rape and child abuse in their communities.
