Cape Town – Aliwal North police in the Eastern Cape arrested a 39-year-old suspect for possession and dealing in drugs on Thursday.
In a statement, the members of the K9 Unit consisting of a Warrant Officer, a Sergeant and three Constables were doing their duty when they received a tip-off about an individual that sells drugs.
“The members approached the identified house and when the suspect noticed the police, he ran and locked himself inside the house and started to burn the drugs. The members then used the necessary force to gain entry and managed to get some of the drugs as the larger quantities were burned to ashes,” said the police in a statement.
