Cape Town – Prince William is set to visit South Africa for four days starting Monday to promote his Earthshot Prize, attend the United for Wildlife Global Summit, and meet President Cyril Ramaphosa.
His trip aims to highlight African climate solutions, marking his first visit to South Africa since 2010.
The Earthshot Prize, inspired by John F. Kennedy’s “moonshot,” awards £1 million each to five innovators tackling environmental challenges.
“His Royal Highness is looking forward to spending time with people from South Africa and across the wider continent, as well as celebrating the incredible climate solutions that will be spotlighted,” Kensington Palace said in a statement.
Fifteen extraordinary solutions.
Five Earthshot challenges.
