Cape Town – A Durban resident has become R74 million richer but has reportedly not claimed their lotto jackpot winnings.
The lucky player reportedly bagged R74 155 218.50 in the Powerball Plus jackpot from Tuesday night’s draw.
The National Lottery Ithuba said the winning ticket was bought in Durban, reports IOL.
“Following a series of roll-overs, it is with great excitement and pleasure for the Ithuba team to welcome the latest PowerBall Plus multi-millionaire.
“As always, the team looks forward to providing our winner with exceptional service and helping him/her into their new normal,” the publication quoted Ithuba CEO, Charmaine Mabuza as saying.

Ithuba has called on players to check their tickets and head to the nearest National Lottery regional office to process their winnings.
The South African reported that the winner will receive their winning tax free between 48 to 72 hours after presenting the winning ticket.
A team of financial advisors and psychologists will be on standby to offer the winner advice on a series of portfolio investment opportunities, as well as trauma counselling, the report said.
“Good news for our players, there is still an opportunity to be a multi-millionaire with Friday’s PowerBall jackpot estimated at R115 million,” Mabuza said, according to the report.
