Cape Town – A Durban motorist shot and killed a man who allegedly attempted to hijack him on King Cetshwayo Highway on Wednesday.
Emer-G-Med paramedics said they were called to the scene at about 19:30.
“Reports from the scene are that a male, approximately 30 years old, was found to have sustained fatal gunshot wounds and was declared dead on arrival of paramedics,” Emer-G-Med paramedics statement said.
Further investigations revealed that the deceased and his accomplices allegedly tried to hijack the motorist when he fired shots.
Accomplices allegedly fled the scene.
Police were on scene and will be investigating further, the statement said.
