Cape Town – South Africa has recorded 6 381 new Covid-19 cases, the National Department of Health said on Monday, under the latest review cycle.
This brings the total number of positive cases to 3 038 075.
“As of today (Monday), the cumulative number of Covid-19 cases identified in SA is 3 038 075, with 6 381 new cases reported. Today 9 deaths were reported, bringing the total to 89 975 deaths.
“The cumulative number of recoveries now stands at 2 861 372 with a recovery rate of 94,2%,” the department said in a statement.

According to the NICD, Gauteng continues to account for the majority of new cases, with 4 488 infections, followed by KwaZulu-Natal (635), Western Cape (356), and Mpumalanga (337).
