Cape Town – Two members of the South African Police Service (SAPS) from Cape Town are reportedly facing corruption charges after accepting a bribe from a couple they caught having sex in their car in December on Table Mountain.
According to IOL, on December 14, 2021, the two cops stationed at Cape Town Central police station approached a couple on Table Mountain Road romancing in their vehicle.
The cops accused the couple of public indecency and forced them to pay a bribe in order to avoid arrest.
The officers were arrested on Wednesday after the couple piemped them.
The suspects appeared at Cape Town Magistrates’ Court on Thursday and were released on R3 000 bail, Daily Voice reported.
They were set to appear again before the court on April 13, the report said.
