Cape Town – Four suspects were arrested in connection with a cash-in-transit heist that occurred on the R556 in Mmaditlhokwa, North West on Monday.
The police also recovered money stolen during the heist.
The suspects were believed to be part of a group of men who ambushed a cash van, leaving two security guards injured, police said in a statement.
According to National police spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe, the robbers rammed into and blew up the cash van before they fled from the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.
