Cape Town – Radisson Red V&A Waterfront in partnership with Pet Heaven will reportedly be launching a new pet-friendly menu at the hotel’s on-site restaurant.
IOL reported that the hotel, which was already pet-friendly, decided to take it a notch up by providing a social setting for pets.
The report said the PET-CATION partnership allowed two pets per room and pet owners could order from a variety of options from the on-site restaurant menu.
Pets were provided with nap rooms with comfortable beds and bowls for them to indulge in an arrival treat while their owners sipped on their arrival drinks, the report said.
“You don’t have to feel the stress and guilt about leaving your pets at home. All our pets are VIPs when they stay with us, and we are excited that with this new partnership we will now be able to offer some culinary highlights to our four-legged guests,” the report quoted Radisson Red’s curator, Leonie Andereya as saying.

This came as more and more hotels in the city were aiming at pampering pet guests the same way as their owners.
In January, AFP reported that SuperWoof, in Cape Town, was one of the luxury hotels where the wealthy checked-in their canines for some serious pampering.
Situated near the colourful houses of the Bo-Kaap district, this home-away-from-home for dogs was surrounded by hipster cafes, art galleries and sushi restaurants, the report said.
Inside, dogs could stay in the budget section of the hotel, where they hung out together, or have a private “presidential suite”.
“We’ve really tried to make sure that we offer a six star service.
“With 24 hour supervision and the luxuries of our splash pool, the giant lounges, all of that jazz, we really want to provide a luxury experience for the doggos,” Reuters quoted Watson Mpala, a dog handler at Superwoof as saying.
