Cape Town – A 25-year-old Brazilian man was arrested at OR Tambo International Airport on Sunday for allegedly trafficking over three kilograms of cocaine, valued at R1.8 million.
The arrest followed intelligence-led police operations.
According to police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Amanda van Wyk, the suspect had arrived from São Paulo, Brazil.

“He was found in possession of more than three kilograms of drugs wrapped around his body which was later confirmed to be cocaine with an estimated value of R1.8m,” Van Wyk said.
This arrest is part of an ongoing crackdown on drug trafficking, with at least 14 alleged drug mules apprehended in October and November.
