Cape Town – Seven people were wounded by gunfire during a failed robbery attempt on Victoria Street in Durban’s CBD on a Friday.
According to reports, armed suspects tried to rob a business on the busy street but were unable to succeed.
Paramedics responded to reports of multiple shootings in the Durban CBD, Times Live reported.
The incident resulted in seven civilians being shot, with one person taken to the hospital privately and six others sustaining gunshot wounds to their lower limbs.
The incident happened just after 3 pm, and emergency responders from ALS paramedics attended to the injured victims.
“A total of seven people have been shot. One person was rushed privately to hospital and six other occupants sustained various gunshot wounds, some sustaining multiple gunshot wounds to their lower limbs,” EWN quoted Garrith Jamieson of ALS paramedics as saying.
