The vehicle in the Hennops River was recovered and taken into the care of Police as part of ongoing investigations,” NSRI said.
IOL reported that Vann Asche was found in the Hennops River, about 2km from where his vehicle was discovered.
Gauteng police confirmed the recovery after an extensive multi-day search operation that utilised drones, a chopper, boats, divers, and on-foot teams.
The discovery was made on Thursday morning following a tip-off from a member of the public about a body floating in the river.
Police are investigating the case as an inquest.
