“The Hellenic Coast Guard, private vessels, a diver, and a Hellenic Air Force helicopter participated in the search. Sadly, the young man’s body was found near the area where he was last seen swimming,” The Greek City Times.
The circumstances of his death are unclear, but it is believed he may have been caught in a strong current and struck a rock, the paper reported.
I knew this young man’s mother when she was pregnant with him 10yrs ago. He died this morning after going swimming in Greece. He was the deckhand on a catamaran – he went swimming and never returned.
Life can be so unfair at times.
