Cape Town – A man was reportedly found dead in his home in Redcliffe, KwaZulu-Natal on Monday morning after residents called on the local security company Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) following a bad smell coming from his house.
In a statement, Roadafety said that RUSA received the call for assistance at 10:34 on Monday from Redcliffe residents who reported the strange smell that came from the man’s house.
On their arrival, RUSA found the house locked.
They then forced entry and when they got inside, they found the man lying on his bed in an advanced stage of decomposition.

He was said to have been last seen by the residents two weeks ago.
They did not report him missing, as they believed that he might have left with his vehicle.

RUSA checked the garage for the deceased’s blue Toyota Corolla but they could not find it.
The cause of the man’s death has not yet been established.
According to IOL, provincial police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Nqobile Gwala confirmed the incident.
“We can confirm the incident, however, police are still busy at the scene,” said Gwala as quoted by the report.
