Cape Town – Police in Thohoyandou, Limpopo have launched a manhunt following the gruesome discovery of a woman’s mutilated body in an unused pit toilet on Tuesday.
Avhurengwi Rambuda, 35, was found “chopped” with her wrist missing, police said in a statement.
According to police spokesperson, Colonel Malesela Ledwaba the victim was last seen at her home in Makula village on Friday before her body was discovered by a relative.
“On Tuesday at about 9pm, her body was discovered by a relative wrapped with a blanket and placed on the seat of an unused pit toilet. Her whole body was chopped with a sharp object and her wrist was also missing,” Ledwaba said.

Azwimpheleli Mashau has been asked to present himself at the nearest police station to assist with the investigations.
Meanwhile, Limpopo police commissioner Lieutenant General, Thembi Hadebe called on community members with information to come forward so that the suspect can be arrested.
