Cape Town – The North West Black Lawyers Association chairperson, Zanele Precious Nkosi, was shot and killed outside her Rustenburg office last week.
She was allegedly shot dead by two unknown gunmen on 29 March.
According to Women For Change, Nkosi was allegedly walking to her vehicle when two suspects approached her car and shot her.
“She died at the scene.” said Women For Change.
North West police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Amanda Funani confirmed the incident, reported News24.

Nkosi who served on numerous committees of the Law Society of South Africa (LSSA) was said to have been committed and active in the organised legal profession for many years, the report said.
She specialised in civil litigation in both lower and high courts, mainly in municipal Law, and had vast experience in criminal litigation, the report said.
President of the LSSA, Eunic Masipha conveyed her condolences to the Nkosi family and called for authorities to find the perpetrators, Times Live reported.
“This cowardly act has robbed Ms Nkosi’s family, colleagues and the country of a fearless woman of strength, committed to make South Africa a better place for all — that is a just and equitable country,” Masipha was quoted as saying.
She urged authorities to find the killers so that they could face justice, the report said.
