Cape Town – Another earthquake has struck Johannesburg, causing residents to be awakened by the shaking.
This comes shortly after a previous earthquake in the Boksburg area measured at 4.4 magnitude on the Richter scale.
According to News24, the CGS confirmed that Thursday’s earthquake happened at around 03:15 in the south of Johannesburg.
The latest earthquake had a magnitude of approximately 2.1, with its epicentre in the Soweto area.
Social media users expressed their alarm, with some likening the activity to the sound of thunder.
