Cape Town — The African National Congress (ANC) national leadership met to discuss the reconfiguration of the party’s leadership in Gauteng and Kwa-Zulu Natal (KZN).
The ANC called upon several veterans including Mike Mabuyakhulu, Jeff Radebe, Amos Masondo and Hope Papo in an effort to improve the leadership in Gauteng and Kwa-Zulu Natal, EWN reported.
The party’s National Working Committee (NWC) held a meeting on Monday and made the decision to call upon the four stalwarts to turn the party’s fortunes around.
According to IOL, an ANC source revealed Panyaza Lesufi will remain as Gauteng ANC chairperson, and will be a co-convenor alongside Amos Masondo. Masondo will lead the Gauteng PEC, and former party veteran and former Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Jeff Radebe, is set to lead Kwa-Zulu Natal (KZN), IOL reported.
