Cape Town – A Cape Town man has become an instant multimillionaire after coming forward to claim his R86 million Lotto jackpot winnings.
The winning ticket was reportedly bought at a Shoprite Checkers in Durbanville and played on draw number 2261 on Saturday, September 3.
The man, who works as a street vendor, won R86 938 411 64 lotto jackpot.
IOL reported that when the winner found out he had won on Sunday, he prayed with this family to thank God.
“The first thing we did when I realised I had won was pray and thank the Lord.
“Only my wife and children know that we have won,” said the instant multimillionaire.

The street vendor is a stern lotto player, playing twice a month and mixing his numbers every time, the report said.
“I have never won this much money before; the most I won from a game was R450.
“All my life I have dreamt of winning a big jackpot, and now I can build a house from my family,” he said.
When asked about the one thing he would now be able to do, the street vendor, who doubles as a motivational speaker at schools, said he plans to take it easy now.
“I can now start to relax,” he responded.
