Cape Town – KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) police have reportedly dismissed a report that arrests have been made in the investigation of rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes’s murder case.
According to TshishaLIVE, KZN police say there is no update as yet in the investigation into the murder of AKA.
Western Cape police spokesperson Andre Traut also confirmed that they received no information regarding the arrest.
“It is a KZN case, should we get any information, it will be sent to them. You should contact them for information,” he said.
Earlier, IOL reported that police had made a breakthrough in the investigation and that an anonymous source close to the investigation had revealed that three suspects were arrested in Cape Town on Sunday.
The source said that the suspects were now in police custody, and were meant to be charged in Durban where the assassination took place.
The initial report had brought some relief to the Megacy faithful who have been waiting for a breakthrough in the investigation since his death in February.

I hope that they’ve arrested the right people. In any case, I’m happy that SAPS is now finally taking action, after what has felt like forever, as Kiernan deserves justice. I also still can’t believe that Kiernan is gone, I miss him so much. #JusticeForAKA
