Cape Town – A 51-year-old man from Penlyn Estate in Cape Town was arrested for attempted murder after allegedly taking his wife and granddaughter hostage during a domestic dispute.
The man is believed to have stabbed his wife, resulting in serious injuries.
Police spokesperson Wesley Twigg reported that the woman was taken to the hospital for treatment.
“The 52-year-old wife and the granddaughter were rescued, and the 51-year-old husband was arrested on a charge of attempted murder. He will appear in the Wynberg Magistrates Court once he has been charged,” Twigg said.
