Cape Town – Police have arrested four suspects in connection with the murder of a woman near the Wynberg Magistrates’ Court in Cape Town.
The shocking incident occurred a week ago on Thursday, May 25, 2023, when the victim was tragically gunned down while making her way to the nearby taxi rank after leaving the court building.
CCTV footage of the incident has been circulating on social media.
A man followed the woman as she left the court and headed towards the main road, shooting her twice in the head before running away, according to a video uploaded on Wednesday, May 31, by CrimeInSA through Twitter.
Medical personnel declared her dead at the scene.

The investigation, which unfolded over the course of the past week, involved meticulous efforts by an integrated investigation team, consisting of detectives from the provincial office and Wynberg.
“The investigation took the integrated investigation team to different locations within the Cape Metropole where they conducted tracing operation and arrested the four suspects after they were positively linked with the murder through thorough investigation and forensic evidence,” police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Malcolm Pojie said.
During the operation, the police seized a silver Nissan Tiïda believed to be connected to the crime. Additionally, several cellular phones were confiscated, which will undergo detailed analysis as part of the ongoing investigation.
The suspects, whose ages range between 24 and 33, have been taken into custody and are currently awaiting their court appearance.
They are scheduled to appear before the Wynberg Magistrates’ Court on Monday, June 5, 2023.
They will face charges of murder, reflecting the severity of their alleged involvement in this senseless crime.
