Pitbull attacks have been a heavily-discussed topic in South Africa in recent times.
Last week, there was another pitbull attack on an elderly couple in Dawncrest, Verulam, IOL reported.
It was reported that the dogs were involved in an altercation with monkeys in the couples backyard when the 80-year-old man and his 73-year-old wife intervened, Prem Balram from Reaction Unit SA, said.
“The canines thereafter attacked its owners. The elderly couple sustained penetrating bite wounds to their legs. They received first aid on scene before being transported to hospital privately.”
