Cape Town – Three bodies were reportedly discovered in separate locations in Brakpan, Ekurhuleni this week.
According to News24, two of the bodies were found in an abandoned building on a Withoek plot, and they had multiple gunshot wounds.
The third body was found on a nearby open field and showed signs of being badly burnt.
The report quoted the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Kelebogile Thepa as saying that two men approached officers and informed them about the bodies in the building.
The case is being treated as a murder.

“Although no arrests have been made, thorough investigations are being conducted by the law enforcers,” the report quoted Thepa as saying.
Last year, Gauteng police responded to the discovery of six bodies belonging to illegal miners in Bosmont, west of Johannesburg.
The bodies were found in different locations within a veld near the N1 highway, EWN reported.
It was suspected that the deaths occurred as a result of a clash between rival groups of illegal miners, also known as “zama zamas”.
The bodies were covered with silver sheets, and forensic services were present at the scene to collect evidence before removing the bodies, the report said.
