Cape Town – A 14-year-old pupil was taken to hospital after he was stabbed following an altercation at a high school in Greyville, Durban.
The pupil allegedly had an argument with a group of fellow pupils on Thursday, Emer-G-Med said in a statement.
The teenager, who was stabbed on his right hand, was treated and stabilised on the scene by paramedics, the statement said.
The boy was then taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
TimesLIVE alleged the incident was fuelled by gangs at the school.
This came following the recent fatal stabbing at ta school in Ntuzuma, northwest of Durban where a grade 10 learner attacked another learner at the school, the report said.
