Cape Town – The body of a 10-year-old girl was reportedly discovered in a deserted and vandalised house located in Walmer Location, Gqeberha on Monday.
According to reports, the police responded to a complaint about a body in a vandalised house and discovered the girl’s body with visible burn wounds.
Although she has been identified, her formal identification is pending.
“According to information, she was last seen on Friday (July 21) and was never reported missing.
“The motive for the murder is unknown and the investigation is ongoing,” provincial police spokesperson Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg
Police are appealing to anyone with information regarding the murder to contact the Walmer police station on 041 509 4030 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
