Out of desperation for fuel, some Nigerians are even sleeping at petrol stations just to reserve their spot in the hopes of filling their tanks amid the country’s fuel crisis.
Recognising this as an opportunity, a 23-year-old local (who had previously worked at a fuel-distribution company) has designed a mobile app to help relieve the endless queues and traffic jams resulting from the nationwide fuel scarcity.
FueledUp, which is set to be available on a large scale at the end of May, allows drivers to purchase between 18 and 40 litres of fuel. According to a Ventures Africa report, once the app is downloaded customers can enter their car’s information, the amount of fuel needed and preferred delivery time.
