Zimbabwe has been cleared to host Bangladesh during a tour that includes all three cricket formats in July, despite a worsening Covid-19 situation, reports say.
According to BBC, this comes after Zimbabwe lifted a suspension for several sports, including football and cricket earlier this week.
An indefinite ban had initially been imposed on all sporting activities in the country on June 14 in a bid to try and contain the spread of the coronavirus, the report said.
Africa CGTN said the tour, which is scheduled to take place between July 7-27, involves a three-match ODI series that forms part of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Cricket World Cup Super League.
The League serves as part of the 2023 Cricket World Cup qualification process. The top eight teams will automatically qualify for the 2023 World Cup, while the rest will go through to a qualifying event.

The games will be played at Harare Sports Club, with no spectators allowed in the ground as part of Covid-19 protocols.
“We have been assured of highest Covid-19 protocol by the Zimbabwean cricket authorities,” AFP quoted Ahmed Sazzadul Alam, a BCB director who will head the delegation as saying.
