A BBC report said this was the second time that Zimbabwe had deferred the reopening of schools this year.
Zimbabwe has so far recorded 42 714 confirmed cases, including 37 288 recoveries and 1 691 deaths. A total of 706 158 people have been vaccinated, according to data from the health ministry.
CGTN Africa quoted Mutsvangwa as saying the country expected 500 000 more doses of Covid-19 Vaccines on Saturday, while another two million doses were expected at the end of the year.
Coronavirus infections show no sign of declining and government said that it would enforce lockdowns in several towns and districts as well as a number of suburbs in Bulawayo, EWN reported.
