Johannesburg – Amapiano sensation Mawhoo has become a trending topic after revealing her girlfriend allowance in a now-viral clip.

The video has since gained thousands of reactions and comments since dropping on the internet, with Mzansi flooding to X, sharing their thoughts on the topic.

South Africa’s girlfriend allowance trend
Controversial influencer, Cyan Boujee, once revealed on a podcast episode of Chill with MacG, that she received R50 ooo as a weekly allowance.
When questioned on her lifestyle by fellow city girl, Tebogo Thobejane, Cyan stated that she had been paid the amount to simply stay home.
“This was the real bag. It was maybe 50, a week. Phele, life was like- almost around that amount. Yeah, just for staying home. I wasn’t a DJ, I wasn’t really an influencer, I wasn’t hosting. As long as I’m staying home”, she divulged.
