Cape Town – Social media sensation and singer Uncle Waffles has announced that she’s planning to release a second album called Asylum. This comes after the successful release of her debut album Red Dragon in 2022.
Red Dragon became one of the most successfully-streamed albums in 2022 on Apple Music and Uncle Waffles announced on her Instagram that she’s excited to be going through the process again.
The album is set to be released on 31 March.
“1 year ago, I released my debut project, unlocking a part of me I never knew existed, vulnerability I never knew I could feel. A year later, I’m doing it again, Welcome to the Asylum. Out Friday , 31st of March ?,” she said.

Uncle Waffles has been an internet sensation since she was spotted dancing to Adiwele in 2021. Her hit-single Tanzania was a major success and contributed to her walking away with the Best DJ Africa at the African Muzik Magazine Awards in 2022, according to TimesLIVE.
Her fame has reached international waters and she’s received praise from international artists, including renowned rapper Drake and American singer Omarion. They praised her for her amazing performance at a show she did in the US.
