Cape Town — Former Miss South Africa and Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Tebow and her husband Tim Tebow recently took to Instagram and did a gender reveal for their new baby.
Demi and Tim, who is a former National Football League (NFL) star, met through his foundation – Tim Tebow Foundation – after Demi’s late sister Franje was invited to attend one of the events, The South African reported.
The couple currently live in the US but held a glamorous baby shower at a wine farm in Franschhoek in the Western Cape.
In a video shared to Instagram the couple started by guessing what the gender would be and Tim said a girl. Dressed in white t-shirts and jeans, stood in a room and painted a blank canvas whle blindfolded. The video, which changed from black and white to colour revealed the paint to be pink as the couple were overjoyed.
“Baby Tebow is a…GIRL! 🎀🩷🕊️. Our greatest blessing. We’ve been praying for her long before we knew her, and we’re beyond grateful that God chose us to be her parents. We can’t wait to meet you, baby girl! 🥹,” she wrote.
“To create a meaningful piece of art for the nursery, we decided to find out the gender through painting! We chose two Bible verses—one for a boy and one for a girl—to add to the canvas once it was complete. The verse we want to speak over our baby girl is Psalm 25:4-5: ‘Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.’ We pray that she always finds her identity in Christ and places her hope in His love and truth,” she continued.
The couple also hosted another gender reveal party for their friends and family in the US and had each guest guess the gender of the baby.
“Our gender reveal of Baby Tebow to our friends and @timtebowfoundation family! Feeling so grateful for our village in Jacksonville — so many seasoned moms and dads in this crew that we look up to and seek wisdom from. Thank you, everyone, for the love and support on our journey so far!” they said.
