Cape Town — As Mzansi grapples with the shock of a car crash that claimed the lives of Lesotho-born rapper Malome Vector, director Da Mos, and up-and-coming musician LizwiWokuqala, the sole survivor Puleng Phoofolo, has opened up about the harrowing experience and immense loss.
TshisaLIVE reported that the group was en-route to a music video shoot when they were met with their deadly demise.
In the wake of the incident, rising star Puleng Phoofolo took to her Facebook page to express her heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones affected by the tragedy.
“I have been discharged from hospital and am home recovering. I confirm I was in the car that tragically collided with a truck and resulted in the untimely deaths of my industry brothers Bokang Moleli, aka Malome Vector, Lizwi Wokuqala and director Da Mos,” she wrote.
Puleng further expressed the impact this loss has had on her, acknowledging that Malome and Whole Team Entertainment have actively played a role in her career’s development.
She requested time and space to properly cope with the traumatic events she has experienced.
“I humbly request that I be afforded the necessary time and space to deal with this horrific and traumatic experience. I am overwhelmed and humbled by the outpouring of love and support I have been receiving during this trying time. My life flashed before my eyes and I cannot thank God enough for his grace and mercy for preserving my life.”
“I would like to extend my sincerest condolences to the families, friends and fans of Malome Vector, Lizwi and Da Mos. I pray that you are comforted by a verse in the Bible from Psalm 34:18: The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, he rescues those whose spirits are crushed,” she said.
She reiterated her appreciation for the support from her team at Sliq Records, family, friends, and her ever-supportive fans.
“I further would like to say that I am overwhelmed and humbled by the outpouring love and support that I have been receiving during this time. My life flashed before my eyes and I cannot thank God enough for His grace and mercy and for preserving my life. Thank you to my team at Sliq Records, my family, friends and fans for your immense support.”
