Cape Town – The family of slain rapper Kiernan AKA Forbes have showered his girlfriend Nadia Nakai with love ahead of her first performance since the murder.
The Forbes family have been incredibly supportive of Nadia after AKA was shot dead in Durban in February. AKA’s father, Tony Forbes, has posted previously that he knew Nadia was the one for his son while mother Lynn has thanked Nadia for loving and appreciating her son the way she did.
“Kiernan will be there with you, in spirit, every step of the way. Chin up beautiful, you’ve got this and we’ve got you,” Lynn Forbes posted on Instagram on Sunday ahead of Nadia’s gig at Rockets in Bryanston.
Tony Forbes was there in person to lend his support.
Nadia posted an Instagram story showing herself in the club getting ready for her performance and panned the camera to Tony sitting in the club there to support her.

Nadia also posted a preview poster of the event to her Instagram (which has since been removed). She said she knew she wouldn’t be ready for a return to performing unless she tried and thanked her fans and followers for support.
