Cape Town – A 26-year-old Zimbabwean man has reportedly been arrested after he stabbed six people to death and wounded four others in a horrific attack over the weekend.
According to ZimLive, the incident happened around 03:00 on Saturday in the mining town of Redcliff.
The report quoted the police as saying that the suspect apparently suffered a “mental illness while attending an all-night prayer at a local apostolic sect shrine”.
Three of the dead were children.
The suspect used a knife, an axe, and spears.

A report by EWN said his family had been worried about his violent behaviour when they decided to had taken him to an Apostolic church shrine for prayers.
“While there, he is understood to have escaped and driven back to an uncle’s house where he killed three children, including a seven-month-old baby.
“He then tracked down his uncle at a nearby policeman’s house, stabbed the policeman and two other bystanders and killed a 33-year-old man.
“Then the attacker went back to his own home and killed two women before police were able to arrest him after an attack that will leave the small community stunned,” the report said.
