Cape Town – Police in Nigeria have reportedly arrested a woman for allegedly stabbing her husband to death after he caught her in their matrimonial bed with another man.
According to reports, the incident happened on Sunday in Edo State.
“The deceased had two wives who used to live with him but he had to rent an apartment for his first wife in a different location to allow peace to reign while staying with the junior one in his house.
“The deceased used to visit the first wife and spend the night there. But the junior wife was said to have been bringing another man to her matrimonial home anytime the husband spent the night at the first wife’s apartment,” Nigeria’s Punch quoted a source as saying.

The man decided to confirm the rumours he was hearing about his second wife. So he went to her apartment very early in the morning.
Upon his arrival, he found her with her lover. A scuffle ensued between the two men, but the woman stabbed her husband, so that her lover could escape, Naija News reported.
She wanted to conceal the incident so that it appeared like a robbery but the police arrived before she could do that, and she was arrested.
The man died from stab wounds.
