Cape Town — Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader, Julius Malema, said he would be content with the outcome of the elections, regardless of what happens.
Malema said the red berets had pitched a strong election campaign and many polls had the left-wing party ranked consistently in the top 4 when it came to the biggest support. Speaking ahead of the party’s final election campaign rally in Limpopo on Saturday, Malema handed over a new house and state-of-the-art facility to a school in Limpopo.
Malema said the party has drawn up a solid election campaign and is ready for the polls, and said it is now up to the electorate, EWN reported.
“We will accept the willingness of the voice of the people of South Africa, whatever the outcome. We will not have any queries because we campaigned, and no one stopped us. We spoke to our people.” he said.
“If the people did not receive the message, it means we still need more time to work on convincing our people with regard to voting for the EFF.” he added.

According to Mail & Guardian, the EFF is hoping to increase its voter share and possibly remove the Democratic Alliance (DA) from becoming the official opposition. Malema hopes the party can reach its goal of one million votes in Gauteng and another million votes in KwaZulu-Natal to secure its targets.
The goal in KZN was threatened by the emergence of Jacob Zuma’s uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party, who are seen as the biggest challengers to the ANC, EFF and IFP, owing to Zuma’s strong following in the province. Malema said the MK party was not a threat to them.
“Our security forces in this country are well-equipped to handle any situation that might arise. We don’t see any reason why there would be a threat. We have made sure that in each and every polling station, there is an EFF agent to guard the votes of the EFF.” he said.
