Cape Town – Encountering snakes is always a terrifying experience, so one could only imagine how the residents of a house in Riverview, Kwazulu-Natal were experiencing when they discovered a snake in their yard.
Fortunately for them, however, it was a Brown House snake, which is not venomous, and it had been taken away by a Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) officer on Tuesday afternoon.
“A resident contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) at approximately 19:19 after the snake was spotted in the yard,” RUSA said.
The snake was swiftly captured and released into a suitable environment.
“A Reaction Officer was dispatched to the property and on arrival captured the non venomous reptile.
“The Officer released that snake in a more suitable environment away from homes.”
