Cape Town – The uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party has confirmed that it has launched internal disciplinary proceedings against Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla, daughter of party leader and former president Jacob Zuma.
This comes after her controversial social media outburst directed at the party’s Secretary General, Floyd Shivambu.
Zuma-Sambudla recently took to social media in a profanity-laden rant against Shivambu, sparking widespread criticism and internal tension within the party.
Her remarks were seen as highly inappropriate and damaging to the party’s unity.

Following the backlash, she issued two public apologies, attempting to take responsibility for her actions.
Despite her apologies, the MK Party has decided to proceed with disciplinary measures.
At a media briefing on Tuesday, MK Deputy Secretary General Nombuso Mkhize confirmed that Zuma-Sambudla has been formally charged with ill-discipline.
“In the instance of Duduzile Zuma-Sambidla, I would like to clearly indicate that internal disciplinary processes are in progress,” said Mkhize.
