Cape Town – Following the announcement of stage 6 load shedding, students have found it increasingly difficult to adjust to the power being off for periods of as long as 4 hours.
Some students have taken to Tiktok and dealt with their grief the way South Africans do best – with comedy.
“Being a uni student right now in South Africa is realising you’re only going to school or to campus for two hours,” said one student.
@dintle_pondo because like why are we having loadshedding for 4 hours? #loadsheddinginsouthafrica #unistudent #fypシ ♬ original sound – Dintle Pondo

On the brighter side, at least load shedding will get students to procrastinate less!

Another Tiktok user and student, giftbozekana1, said “students’ laptops are like fridges – they need plugs to work!”
