Cape Town – The N1 inbound was temporarily closed at Mike Pienaar Boulevard on Friday morning following a collision involving 13 vehicles, reports claim.
According to MorningLiveSABC’s tweet, the 13 vehicles included a truck that jackknifed, causing a vehicle pile-up on the N1 highway outside Cape Town.
Cape Town Traffic Services spokesperson, Kevin Jacobs said N1 inbound was later reopened and Traffic Officers were assisting at multiple vehicle crash scenes where the truck had jackknifed, reported New24
“The full complement of the City’s Emergency Services are on scene,” the report quoted Jacobs as saying.

Jacobs later said: “The N1 is open, traffic is trickling past the scene. Motorists are advised to use Frans Conradie Drive and Voortrekker Road as alternative routes.”

So far no injuries have been reported.
