Cape Town – South African songwriter, poet, music producer, and beadwork artist Ntsiki Mazwai has expressed her disapproval of a recent explicit video featuring Zodwa Wabantu at a public event.
Known for her outspoken activism, Ntsiki did not mince words as she criticised Zodwa Wabantu for crossing the line.
Taking to X, without directly naming Zodwa, Mazawai said out that while the country may have tolerated Zodwa Wabantu as an exotic dancer, her recent actions went too far.
The explicit video in question depicted Zodwa allowing a man in the crowd to engage in a sexual act with her in front of a room full of people, with many capturing the moment on their phones.
We have been kind and compassionate about this lady’s sexual psychological trauma…..but this is now ridiculous……she needs to be banned. We have children.
She is not a sangoma……she is mentally unstable and traumatized.

To add to the discomfort, another dancer associated with Zodwa reportedly performed an even more unsettling act with a beer bottle during the same event.
Prior to Ntsiki’s response, public outrage against Zodwa had already surfaced, with many individuals expressing their disapproval and calling for Zodwa Wabantu to be “cancelled” on social media platforms, including under Ntsiki’s tweet.
