Cape Town – South African media personality, Mark Pilgrim is managing to keep his sense of humour despite numerous health challenges after his lung collapsed in September.
The radio presenter was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year.
He has been recovering in ICU for almost a month following multiple medical procedures.
Sharing another update of his hospital stay, Pilgrim joked about being an “underwear model for the nurses”.
He shared pictures of a rash that appeared on his legs on Friday in an Instagram post.
“Hospital Day 23. Being an underwear model for the nurses and flashing my skinny legs seems to have been a… ‘rash’ decision,” he joked in the caption.

In September, the veteran radio presenter’s immune system crashed.
“… Turns out though, after 9 rounds of chemo, my body has called for time-out and my immune system has crashed. Good news is my doctors have been amazing today, we avoided hospitalisation, and my white blood count should increase in the coming week or so,” Pilgrim wrote on his Instagram post at the time.
Earlier in the week, the father of two received a blood transfusion and thanked blood donors for their service in a post on Instagram.
“Receiving a blood transfusion. To the kind individuals in this country who take the time to donate blood and help others… thank you,” he wrote.
