Cape Town – The family of a 69-year-old KwaZulu-Natal man is appealing for help in locating the man who disappeared from the Mumbai airport in India.
Reports indicated that Dhramalingum Pillay of Tongaat was returning from a holiday in the country when he allegedly went missing on January 29.
Pillay’s daughter was said to be still in Mumbai in search of her father.

According to the family spokesperson Mandy Govender, an ex-police officer and community worker formerly from Tongaat said CCTV footage confirmed Pillay walked out of the airport, reported TimeLIVE.
Govender said Pillay was diagnosed with dementia after suffering a stroke.
“He was returning to South Africa on Monday morning with his daughter. There was a long flight delay in the early hours of the morning and they were exhausted. His daughter dozed off while sitting on a bench for about 20 minutes and he walked away from her,” said Govender.
The report said that Indian police; the South African Embassy, Colonel Porky Govender who is based in India; the Indian Consulate; and a member of the Indian Legislative Assembly, were working with the family to help find Pillay.
