Cape Town – South African musician Thokozani Sphamandla Ndlovu, also known as L’vovo Derrango, has suffered a stroke.
A statement released by his record label, Derrango Records, confirmed that L’vovo suffered a minor stroke during his performance at Ndwedwe in KwaZulu Natal on December 23.
The statement said that he was admitted to hospital for medical attention and was responding “very well”.
“We kindly ask that you keep him in your prayers and we are confident that he will come out of this difficult situation even stronger.
“The family kindly ask for the public and media to respect their privacy during this difficult time,”b read the statement.
According to EWN, the multi-award-winning artist was a friend of the late Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo, who died on Saturday after suffering a stroke last week.
