Cape Town – Tony Cedras, a well known South African accordion, harmonium, keyboard, and guitar virtuoso, tragically passed away earlier this week at the age of 72.
His wife, Tania, confirmed the news to TshisaLIVE, disclosing that he succumbed to chronic emphysema on Monday morning.
“He was performing in the US and was hospitalised for six months until he returned on Thursday. Then, he passed away on Monday,” she revealed.
Cedras’s departure has left a profound void in the music industry, with many of his peers taking to social media to reminisce about the remarkable talent he had.
