Cape Town – A decomposing body of a man was found floating in a river in Groutville north of Durban on Sunday morning.
IPSS Medical Rescue attended to the scene after receiving a call from KwaDukuza police seeking assistance from its search and rescue division to retrieve a body at a river in the Groutville area, IPSS Medical Rescue said in a statement.
“On arrival of Search and Rescue personnel it was established that the body of an adult male was floating in a river.
“The severely decomposed body was retrieved by rescue members and handed over to SAPS for further investigation into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death,” the statement read.
